Besides others, the jirga was attended by ISPR Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor, officials of political administration and traders.
A committee was constituted to prepare estimates of the damaged businesses and pay compensation to them as soon as possible.
The committee will meet on weekly basis for quick survey and resolution of the problems of traders.
The representatives of traders expressed confidence in the security forces and administration for solving their problems.
“We are all together till final destination of complete peace in the country,” DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said. In a tweet, he said that hard times are over and good ones in sight in Pakistan.
He said the whole country including Waziristan after passing through hardships is on the road to peace now. “Difficulties and comforts both are shared and we need to unite in both situations,” he emphasized.
The DG ISPR said that residents of the tribal areas had joined hands with the security forces and rendered huge sacrifices for the establishment of peace, adding that operations conducted by the armed forces had eliminated terrorism.
Tribal notables chanted slogans of ‘long Live Pakistan’ and ‘Long Live Pakistan Army’ at the end of the jirga.
FATA additional chief secretary, political agent, assistant political agent, Anjuman Tajiran Pakistan President Ajmal Baloch, NWA GOC, civil and military officials were also present.
