Positive role of opposition

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Having ruled our country for such a long period, having given good and bad statements, we have tolerated the nonsense, the scams, scandals, misgivings, mistakes and huge financial losses committed by politicians in our country.

I as a honest and loyal national of Pakistan, surely have the right to ask the opposition, who we have deliberately not voted to power for all their negativities, to introspect in this period of five years of defeat and instead of creating hurdles in the path of progress, try to work out something constructive, for the improvement of the conditions in our country and prove that they are indeed capable. Let’s see what happens in the next elections. Till then hold your horses.

To accept defeat gracefully requires a lot of maturity, knowledge, art of introspection. Now is the time for the opposition to accept the verdict of the people and work constructively to regain its position.
