CHARSADDA: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Friday said that nations are built upon quality education, leadership and a judicial system.
“Nations are build upon education, leadership and judicial system. No country can prosper without education. I questioned CM Pervaiz Khattak about the quality of education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but did not receive a convincing response,” CJP said while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of judicial complex in Charsadda.
Justice Nisar added that the time for judiciary to step up and perform has come. “Now is the time for the judiciary to deliver. To serve justice is an act of devotion and our prime responsibility, but the delays in justice are due to delays in passing of new laws,” the CJP said.
He added that institutions are built upon personalities and not buildings. The CJP regretted that “cases have been pending in the Supreme Court for decades and that no resolution has been achieved”.
