A large number of people attended the session. They praised he Alhamra Arts Council for starting the campaign to provide a platform where everyone could share their views and learn from scholars and different famous personalities about different domains and dimensions of life. During his talk, Mehmood elaborated on the essence and importance of human rights in Islam. He said that one could not be a Muslim if they could not meet duties and responsibilities towards the rest of the humanity.
On the occasion, Alhamra Arts Council’s executive director, Capt Atta Muhammad said the purpose of the session was to raise awareness regarding human rights. He said, “as Muslims, when we talk about Islam, we believe that this is not just a religion but a comprehensive way to live life. Islam taught us utmost about the human rights because, in Islam, more attention is given to the rights of people than the rights of Allah S.W.T. The Corner of Wisdom has been started based on this most important part of our religion.” He said, “Therefore, I invite you all to be part of this Gosha-e-Gayan, come and join us on this spiritual journey and learn the actual meaning of humanity from the perspective of a Muslim.”
