Free artificial limbs facility for disabled persons

BAHAWALPUR: The National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) Bank has started a four-day workshop titled ‘NRSP Naya Qadam’ for providing free-of-cost artificial limbs to persons with disabilities. During the workshop, more than 250 patients were registered, who would be provided artificial limbs free of cost after thorough examination. According to a bank official, the NRSP had started a rehabilitation programme for disable persons for the last couple of years. He said that a team of doctors, led by a well-known orthopaedic surgeon, was running the workshop. He stated that NRSP’s trained technicians and fully-equipped mobile prosthetic workshop were serving the suffering humanity.
