KP police foils terror bid in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Capital City Police foiled a major terror bid in Peshawar on Wednesday.

The KP police conducted an operation after receiving intelligence information and recovered ammunition and explosives from a house in Muhala Ghazali Ghari area of Peshawar.

The weapons and explosives were hidden in the house by two terrorists, who were identified as Abdullah s/o Mumtaz and Mumtaz s/o Ameenullah.

The police recovered a rocket launcher, 4 mortar shells, 9 RPGs, 100 electric detonators, 18 time pencils, 3 explosive belts and 10 hand grenades.

Moreover, it was said that Abdullah and Mumtaz have also been involved in murder among various other crimes and that a case has been registered against the two.
