KARACHI: Former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has said statements by Hussain Haqqani are not such a big deal and only the media has attached too much importance to them.
Gilani was speaking to journalists before the commencement of TDAP case hearing. He said, “Hussain Haqqani’s statements are not a big thing and only media has given too much importance to them. I will ask the party that there is no need to adopt a defensive position.”
He held that Hussain Haqqani had been appearing before the Judicial Commission, therefore, the report of the commission must be made public.
He added that the situation in Punjab is different from Sindh at present; people in Punjab are waiting for court’s decision in respect of Panama Leaks case.
