LAHORE: Deputy Commissioner Lahore Sumair Ahmed Syed has ordered to all health deputy district officers of Lahore to be in field for checking all the clinics for quacks practicing in any place in the metropolitan city.

An exemplary action should be taken against quacks and action must be taken in complete coordination with police and drug inspectors of the concerned jurisdiction.

This order was instructed by deputy commissioner Lahore while chairing a meeting of Anti- Quackery Drive in the metropolitan city on Tuesday. Lahore Health Authority Chief Operating Officer Dr Shehnaz, all assistant commissioners, health DDOs and representative of police attended the meeting.

Furthermore, DC Lahore said that if a quack is using the name of a legal doctor on the board of the clinic but checking the patients by himself, the concerned doctor should also be made responsible and an action must be taken against him. “It should be ensured that no quack could get benefit from court due to weak presentation of case by Health Department,” he added.

Moreover, DC Lahore also directed to gear up dengue related activities, saying that no dengue worker should be deployed on other working except dengue drive. He directed assistant commissioners to be in field for the monitoring of dengue teams.
