KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that he received some reports certain buildings, with a number apartments, are being counted as single house. “If it is true it is wrong and against the assurances given to him by Census Commission.”
He said this while speaking with the media after attending ABC roundtable meeting at a local hotel.
He said that he had written a letter to Federal Minister Ishaq Dar and had requested him to take necessary measures to make the census credible. “Dar had assured me that he would ensure its transparency,” he said.
He said that the provincial census commissioner had also briefed him that the apartments or the multiple residential accommodations would be counted separately and now they should not be marked as one house.
“Let us see what they are doing and we would get it verified,” he said and added that there would be no compromise on its transparency and accuracy.
