LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Member National Assembly Onaza Ehsan has strongly condemned the incident of firing at the residence of justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Ejazul Ahsan.

In a statement issued on Monday, Onaza Ehsan has expressed grave concern over the incident. She also held Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif responsible for the attack by saying that Punjab government under Shahbaz Sharif is responsible for this coward act. The PTI leader said that such threatening acts would not become a hurdle in this regard.

It is pertinent to mention that unknown gunmen opened gunfire at the residence of Justice of SC Justice Ejazul Ahsan on Saturday. The incident occurred on the same day when the ousted prime minister and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Nawaz Sharif was disqualified for life by the SC. Justice Ejazul Ahsan was also part of the several important cases which remained against Nawaz Sharif.

“Law and order situation of Punjab is going from bad to worse as Punjab government is favouring the culprits and because of their backing, law and order situation of province is deteriorating. Children are not safe here, women are also not safe as well as minorities,” Ehsan said.

The former MNA further observed that Nawaz and Shahbaz have no respect for the institutions of “our country as well as for the people of Pakistan. The nation is not going to forgive them this time”, she added.
