Four dead, 25 injured in Badin road mishap

BADIN: At least four people including a woman died and over two dozen others injured in collision between two over speeding vehicles.

Police said that an over speeding passenger coaster collided with a tractor trolley due to narrow passage left for traffic on an under construction road at Hyderabad Bypass in Matli area of district Badin. Four people including Madhuri 30, Nadeem Magsi 10, Khamu Malah 70, and Mosal Magsi 40, died in the accident while 25 others were injured.

Drivers of both vehicles fled from scene of the accident.

The bodies and injured were shifted to Taluka Hospital Matli where 15 with serious wounds were referred to Hyderabad.

Condition of eight injured people was stated to be critical and it was feared that death toll could rise further.

The police impounded both vehicles and after registering a case against the drivers at large started the investigation.
