LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday finalised three nominees for the caretaker prime minister and Punjab caretaker chief minister spot.
PTI chief Imran Khan met senior party leaders earlier today to hold discussions, after which the party finalised three nominees. Dr Abdul Razak Dawood, Tasdeeq Hussain and Dr Ishrat Hussain were nominated by the PTI.
Party leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi will present the names before Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah in the National Assembly.
Abdul Razak Dawood served as the commerce minister in former president Pervaiz Musharraf’s cabinet from 1999 to 2002. Justice (retd) Tasdeeq Hussain served as the chief justice, while Dr Ishrat Hussain served as the governor of State Bank of Pakistan from 1999 to 2006.
Moreover, the PTI has also proposed names of Salman Shah, Shahid Kardar and Tariq Khosa for caretaker CM Punjab.
