LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday placed a temporary ban on ‘anti-judiciary speeches’ of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former PM Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Mazahir Ali Naqvi was hearing various petitions against PM Abbasi, Nawaz, Maryam and 14 other lawmakers. The LHC directed PEMRA to look into the matter and has also directed it to remove all contemptuous content within 15 days.
Moreover, the judge-bench has also ordered to temporarily ban ‘anti-judiciary speeches’ of PM Abbasi, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz during the 15 day PEMRA deadline.
