ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar are due to appear at the accountability court in Avenfield Properties’ reference case.
Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer Amjad Parvaiz will continue to cross-examine the head of the Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT) Wajid Zia in today’s hearing, which is headed by Justice Mohammad Bashir.
In the previous hearing, Mr. Wajid Zia—who happens to be NAB’s key witness—was grilled by defence lawyer Amjad Pervaiz over the issue of the trust deed, the Robert Redley report and Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before the JIT.
Moreover, NAB’s investigation officer will record his statement before the accountability court once Wajid Zia’s testimony is concluded.
