Man robs bank to throw cash over Taylor Swift’s fence

One can never gauge the love of a fan. Often we have seen fans crossing the boundaries of sanity. A Connecticut man had such an unbelievable crush on Taylor Swift that he robbed a bank just for her.

Taylor Swift must have many crazy fans but this one (quite literally) takes the money. A Connecticut man with a massive crush on the singer robbed a bank and then went to the pop star’s Rhode Island mansion where he threw cash over a fence in an attempt to impress her. Bruce Rowley, of Derby, is charged with robbing an Ansonia bank on April 4.

Police said, ‘It seemed he wanted to propose’ to Swift, so he drove about 60 miles to Westerly, Rhode Island, and started throwing some of the roughly $1,600 he’s charged with stealing over Swift’s fence.

He did not brandish a weapon or make any threats and the teller turned over an undetermined amount of cash. Rowley was spotted by the state troopers in Rhode Island, which led them on a chase back to Connecticut. The accused told them he tried getting in touch with Swift but said she was not at home. The police is currently investigating Rowley’s claims whether he went to her house.

According to the report, the accused repeatedly told cops he had a crush on the singer and he planned to donate some of the stolen funds to Ansonia PD to impress her. Rowley was booked for robbery in the second degree and larceny in the fourth degree. He is being held on bail.

Rowley was pursued by Rhode Island State Police back to Connecticut where he was arrested. That’s where he allegedly told police about his plan.

The 26-year-old Rowley was held on $100,000 bond at his arraignment Friday. Online Connecticut court records don’t list a defense attorney.
