Five injured in Quetta suicide blast

At least five people were wounded in a suicide attack on a vehicle of Frontier Corps (FC) in Quetta on Monday evening, officials and sources said.

The explosion occurred in Buleli area, when a suicide attacker targeted a vehicle of the security men.

The injured included four paramilitary personnel and a civilian. A large contingent of police and FC rushed to the site immediately after the blast and sealed the entire vicinity.

Images from the scene of the blast showed a vehicle, believed to be FC’s, on flames. Meanwhile, rescuers also reached the spot and shifted wounded to a hospital.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack which destroyed the FC vehicle.
