Bilawal, Gillani and others discuss PPP’s organisational issues in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Information Secretary Sagheer Butt had a meeting with PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani on Monday at Multan.

Regarding upcoming general elections, they discussed party’s membership, orgranisational issues and issuance of party tickets in Gujranwala.

Bilawal said that the party tickets would only be issued to the reputed candidates.

He outlined economic crisis, unemployment, load shedding, and poverty, medical and educational issues of the country by saying that PML (N) rulers had failed to resolve these ‘public’ issues.

He said that after PPP wins the upcoming general elections, policies in the best public interest would be devised and implemented by their ‘new’ government.

He pledged to provide facilities to the industrialists and traders, and loans would be provided to the women on easy terms. He said that hospitals with ‘free’ treatment would be built.

Bilawal Bhutto is expected to visit Gujranwala soon where he would address party workers.

Clerk arrested for taking bribe

A clerk was caught red handed while receiving bribe.

Anti corruption Regional Director Fareed Ahmed said that Shahzad had filed an application mentioning that the accused Abdul Hafeez had demanded bribe for the registration of new firm.

Resultantly, civil judge Imtiaz Ali Baig together with Officer Amir Hussain conducted a raid and caught the clerk red handed while receiving bribe of ten thousand rupees.
