Two PML-N lawmakers quit party

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Ali Asghar Manda and Tariq Mehmood Bajwa on Monday announced that they are parting ways with the party.

MPAs Tariq Mehmood and Ali Asghar further announced that they would be contesting the general elections 2018 as independent candidates.

Asghar said that he would be contesting for a seat in the National Assembly against federal minister Rana Tanveer Hussain from the NA-132 constituency, while Tariq Mehmood announced that he would be contesting against MNA Barjees Tahir.

Ali Asghar was elected as Punjab MPA in 2013 from PP-165, while Tariq Mehmood was elected MPA from PP-170.
