Footage of US Embassy official running over a motorcyclist in Islamabad

Islamabad: Defence and air attaché at the US Embassy, Colonel Joseph Emanuel, killed one man and injured another as his SUV rammed into a motorcycle.

The injured person was rushed to the nearby hospital in critical condition.

The police reached the spot and took Colonel Joseph to the police station along with the SUV. Later, at Kohsar police station, Colonel Joseph locked himself inside the vehicle until another vehicale came and took him away.

The US embassy in Islamabad has issued a statement expressing sympathy to the family of the deceased and those injured in the tragic traffic accident involving a U.S. Embassy vehicle on Saturday, it further states that the Embassy officials are cooperating with local authorities.
