‘I believe whatever makes you feel comfortable is the best’

Author: By Muhammad Ali

Faseeh Bari, the writer behind many Pakistani telefilms and drama serials, betrays the conventional look of a writer. He is always well dressed. Inspired by this man who despite being in his late 40s takes good care of himself, I decided to ask a few questions from the writer regarding his lifestyle.

Tell something about your daily routine.

Sometimes, I wake up early. But that is not always the case. However, regardless of the time I wake up at, I drink a glass of hot water. After a while, I take my breakfast. Then I listen to some music, and after that, I write if I feel like. In the evening, I hit the gym. When I come home after exercise, I either read something or watch television. At night, I write again. While listening to music, I drift into sleep. I do not like to socialise a lot, so I stay at home and spend time with myself. I am my own friend, of which I take a lot of care and fulfill all the needs.

The purpose of this short interview is to acquaint the writer’s fans with his lifestyle

How do you keep yourself physically fit?

I exercise daily at the gym. Besides that, I swim.

Why do you think exercise is important for you?

Since I am a writer, major portion of my time is spent sitting at the writing table. Therefore, I believe that in order to keep myself active and my energy intact, exercise is very important for me. Gym and swimming support me.

What sort of diet do you take?

I prefer organic food. I do not like junk food and soft drinks.

Faseeh Bari’s works include ‘Behkawa’, ‘Quddusi Sahab ki Bewah’,’ Thori Door Sath Chalo’, ‘Chaal’, ‘Ab Yeh Mumkin Nahi’, ‘Yunhi Kabhi Kabhi’, ‘Mohabbat Jaaye Bhaar Mein’, ‘Bewafa Tumhare Naam’, ‘Kitna Sataate Ho’, ‘Taar-e-Ankaboot’ and many others. His work has been controversial and have not been accepted by all, but one thing on which every Pakistani has always agreed is that Faseeh Bari Khan’s vocabulary of Urdu language is rich and matchless.

Numerous interviews have been given by this popular writer and more or less, the same questions have been asked over and over again regarding the boldness of his works and the responses which he receives. The purpose of this short interview was to acquaint the writer’s fans with his lifestyle, something many people choose to keep personal. His healthy lifestyle and purpose-based exercises may motivate a lot of people to revisit their routines, consider their respective areas of work and commence a healthier way of living.
