Arrest journalist Zeeshan Butt’s killers in four days: CJP Saqib Nisar

Lahore: During the suo moto notice hearing of journalist Zeeshan Butt murder in Sambrial, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has given four days to Punjab IGP Arif Nawaz to arrest the killers.

IG Punjab Arif Nawaz requested a week’s time to arrest the accused, but the court refused and asked to arrest them in 4 days.

Expressing his anger over the failure of the police to arrest the accused, Chief Justice inquired from the IG, to which party do they belong?

The IG Punjab responded that they belong to Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz, but they do not have any one’s support.

IG Nawaz informed the court that names of the suspects have been included in the ECL.

CJ also stated that he is scheduled to preside over cases in Supreme Court Karachi registry in the next week, but he will stay in Lahore for the hearing of this case.
