The Pakistan Coast Guards on Friday seized 21,000 bottles of liquor and 850 beer cans worth over Rs 6.7 million during an operation near Pasni, a subdivision of Gwadar District in Balochistan.

According to officials of the force, the Coast Guards DG Brigadier Sajid Sikandar Ranjha received an intelligence report about carriages for contraband. Consequently, teams were dispatched to specific routes where they discovered a stockpile of liquor in the Gorani area of Pasni. However, the smugglers had managed to escape. Moreover, officials claim that the liquor was intended to be smuggled to the main towns and cities of Pakistan.
