First flight to land at new Islamabad airport on Saturday

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will make a historic landing at New Islamabad International Airport on Saturday.

PIA A320 Pk 9001 will take off from Benazir Bhutto International Aiport (BBIA) at 12:30pm and will land at NIIA at 1pm.

PIA CEO and President Musharraf Rasool Cyan will be on board the mock flight and will assess the operationalability of the new airport.

Earlier today, PIA officials unveiled the new corporate look with its logo and design to include a painting of the Markhor in a ceremony in the federal capital.

PIA has introduced a new corporate of planes’ exterior including its logo while cockpit of planes integrates the country’s flag, accompanied by PIA, written both in English and Urdu.
