ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan on Friday introduced a new corporate look of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in Islamabad.
PIA unveiled the new corporate look with its logo and design to include a painting of the Markhor in a ceremony in the federal capital.
Officials of PIA and Civil Aviation, including Secretary Aviation Irfan Elahi, President and CEO Musharraf Rasool, COO Zia Qadir, CCO Bilal Munir Sheikh, Chief Technical Officer Amir Ali and HR Chief Asma Bajwa were also present on the occasion.
Speaking to the ceremony, the chief guest Sardar Mehtab said that PIA has taken a progressive step to reconstruct its global image and that it also highlights the national airlines’ commitment to preserve the national animal, Markhor.
“I appreciate the efforts to rebrand the image of PIA and this strategy is practiced worldwide. Markhor is our national animal which is a fighter and does not lose heart in hard times as it has the courage to climb the mountain regardless of the difficulties. PIA will also touch the heights in the same manner,” he said while lauding the efforts to revamp the airlines.
On the occasion, CEO Musharraf Rasool also gave a detailed briefing. He said that official logo of PIA has been changed with the image of Markhor and we are constantly trying to achieve the target to make the airlines one of the best in the world.
“We are trying to upgrade the level and standards of given facilities and we are approaching different proposals and strategies to get success,” he added.
PIA has introduced a new corporate of planes’ exterior including its logo while cockpit of planes integrates the country’s flag, accompanied by PIA, written both in English and Urdu.
