Nawaz has always backstabbed PPP: Zardari

GARI KHUDA BAKSH: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday said that Nawaz Sharif has always ‘backstabbed us by siding with the establishment’.

“Nawaz Sharif has always sided with the establishment and backstabbed us. We are not going to make ends meet with Nawaz and will continue our battle against him,” Zardari said while speaking to a rally on occasion of PPP-founder and former PM Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s 39th death anniversary.

Zardari added that soon the peoples party would come to Punjab and shake the foundations of ‘Raiwind’s throne’ and that PPP would put an end to the former PM’s career.

The former president continued that he had said that he can oust Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from power and that he would not let them instate a Senate Chairman. Now, he added, PPP aims to stop the party from retaining government in Punjab.

“We can form an alliance with anyone but you (Nawaz). Now, we will only talk to you when you are finished,” the PPP co-chief said.

He also said that PML-N is one such party that acts as both a ruling government and the opposition. “I do not understand how and why Nawaz keeps on criticising the government when the PM and Punjab CM are his own,” he concluded.
