NAB to verify disproportionate assets complaint against Ameer Muqam

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will verify complaint against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ameer Muqam over alleged possession of assets in excess of his income, NAB authorities said on Wednesday.

NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Wednesday chaired a meeting between top bureau officials in Islamabad headquarters. During the meeting, Justice (retd) Javed ordered KP NAB DG to verify disproportionate assets allegations against PML-N Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa President Ameer Muqam.

DG KP was also directed to verify allegations of illegal use of government funds and failing to fulfill legal merits against Peshawar District Nazim Muhammad Asim Khan.

Moreover, NAB authorities were ordered to verify allegations in two other cases. Balochistan DG was ordered to verify allegations of disproportionate assets and embezzlement of government development funds against MNA Mauli Ameer Zaman, while the DG was also ordered to verify embezzlement allegations against MPA Abdul Malik Kaakar.
