LAHORE: The Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Wednesday claimed that the government might extend the term of assembly till one year under the article 232.
Speaking to the media, Rasheed said that the government might extend assembly term, while he also took jabs at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) saying that the party will never accept Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani as acting president.
“Nawaz Sharif’s mental state is miserable,” he remarked adding that “Sharifs claim that they are not ruling the country, but if their party is not ruling then who is?”
Rasheed also claimed that Pakistan is going to face the worst load shedding and economical crisis to hit the country.
On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said that the only crisis in the country is elections not being held on time.
“There is no reason for delaying the elections as the Government will complete its term on May 31,” he added.
