CM approves ETEA’s revamping

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak approved the restructuring and the capacity building of the Education Testing Evaluation Authority (ETEA).

He was chairing the 26th Board of Governors meeting. He also assured amendments in the salary package after properly knowing the earnings of ETEA. He approved honoraria equivalent to two basic pay for the ETEA employees.

The meeting approved the minutes and decisions of the previous board of governors meeting. A detailed briefing was given about different decisions, the stage of implementation on these decisions, the earning and expenditure of the ETEA etc. The meeting was told that the building of the ETEA had been completed in Hayatabad with a cost of Rs.81 million. ETEA successfully conducted entry test for year 2016 of the candidates both for engineering and medical and announced results within 24 hours.

Pervez Khattak directed for transparent entry tests, adding that all pre-requisites including required staff, cameras installation, face reading and biometric system should be installed and completed otherwise without these pre-requisites no examination would be allowed. He directed the ETEA to be ready for the testing and enhance its capacity with a passage of time.

The CM approved the plan of capacity building of ETEA adding that the problems and hurdles being faced by ETEA should be resolved as early as possible.
