KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party PPP Sindh denouncing the treatment of Sharjeel Memon by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has urged the Supreme Court to take Suo Motu notice.

Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Sunday, Information Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party PPP Sindh, Aajiz Dhamrah said that the accountability bureau was employing double standards to deal with political parties of Pakistan.

Condemning the treatment of Sharjeel Inaam Memon by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) at airport, he said “Supreme Court should take Suo Motu notice of discriminatory actions of NAB against political parties of Pakistan”.

He said that many cases have been registered against the various political workers including Punjab minister Rana Mashood and father of federal minister Abid Sher Ali but NAB takes action only against the workers of Pakistan Peoples Party.

“National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is giving clear message to people who have been accused should not come back to their homeland to face accountability through courts”, PPP information secretary said.

He alleged that Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) has emerged as the most corrupt party but no action was taken against their workers.
