SIALKOT: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday said that he would not be surprised if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan received financial compensations to form alliance with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
“I would not be surprised if Imran Khan received financial compensations for supporting PPP-backed Sadiq Sanjrani during Senate elections,” Khawaja Asif said while speaking to the media in Sialkot.
The foreign minister also claimed that the PTI senators had received money to sell votes during Senate elections. “PTI senators sold votes and received money for that. It should be checked if Imran Khan received financial compensations too,” Asif added.
He continued that various PTI members are alleging the party of ‘threatening them of consequences’, while he also said that the PTI chief should worry about keeping his party intact for the upcoming general elections.
