‘Love Yourself’ singer Justin Bieber is all set to perform for the first time in India on May 10, at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. Various celebrities including Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Sunny Leone were approached for the opening act for Justin’s show, however, it has been confirmed that ‘Kick’ starlet Jacqueline Fernandez will be the host for Justin Bieber.
“I am a huge Bieber fan and I’ve already thought of quite a few things that will make his visit multi-dimensional. While he’s in India, I’d want to take him around and give him a taste of all things desi as his tour guide,” stated Fernandez.
According to the sources, the final schedule isn’t decided yet, however, a close source to the development has revealed that Jacqueline plans on taking Justin on a tour around the city, so they will be visiting Gateway of India, Iskcon Temple in Juhu and driving around the Film City studio in Goregaon.
The 31-year-old actress plans on taking Justin to the area of Dharavi slum so he can meet the underprivileged kids. “She is also curating a multi-cuisine meal comprising of gourmet Maharashtrian, South Indian and Gujarati dishes at her new restaurant for him,” stated the source. Fernandez owns a restaurant in Colombo and recently, she is planning to start one in Mumbai.
White Fox India director Arjun Jain who has organised Justin Bieber’s world tour in India expressed that his team is trying to make sure that this tour would be a memorable visit for Justin.”We are working towards finalising the itinerary soon and we hope to give Bieber a multi-dimensional perspective of India and make it a memorable visit,” he stated.
Justin Bieber’s song list for performances will include chartbusters such as ‘Boyfriend’, ‘Love yourself’, ‘Company’, ‘As long as you love me’, ‘Baby.
Currently, the twenty-three-year-old singer is touring in Australia, where he performed in Sydney’s Olympic Park ANZ stadium on March 15 and moved to New Zealand to continue with the tour.
