LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif on Monday demanded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan not to call Metro Bus Service, which is equipped with modern travelling facilities, as ‘Jangla Bus’.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Metro feeder buses in Lahore, Shahbaz said that those who denounced Metro Bus are now going to construct it in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
He said that opposition leaders, who loot nation’s money and escape from accountability, criticised the incumbent government on every development project.
He further vowed to provide respectful and cheap transportation to the poverty-stricken people.
Meanwhile, the CM launched new 200 air-conditioned public buses on feeder routes for the Lahore Metro Bus routes. The feeder bus service will connect the rest of the city with the 27-km-corridor of the Metro Bus.
There will be 14 routes (129 Km of route length) and the bus will arrive after every 10 minutes. There will be automatic fare collection system.
