SIALKOT: An employee of a local hotel was allegedly set on fire in Sialkot by the owner’s son-in-law on Friday.
As per sources, the owner’s son-in-law set a 32-year-old employee on fire for stealing rice. Earlier, the employee had informed the owner that he had been taking a proportion of sweet rice upon his son’s request.
The owner supposedly paid no heed to the employee’s justifications and set him ablaze.
The victim was shifted to a local hospital in a critical condition, where the doctors advised to transfer the burns case to Lahore.
The victim’s family claim that the police was not cooperating and insisted the higher authorities to take charge of the matter. The family demanded that justice must be served.
