One killed, 15 injured as bus overturned in Dadu

DADU: One person was killed and 15 others including women and children were injured when their bus overturned near Mehar town on Indus Highway on early Monday morning. The passengers were going to a small town in Sukkur district to attend a wedding ceremony. According to Mehar police station’s official Ghulam Hussain the incident occurred when members of the Jatoi Community wedding ceremony party van was going to Mehar to village Gul Mohammad Jatoi Sukkar district for receiving the bride, their bus overturned due to excessive speeding and fell into a ditch. Last information received was that one person, the groom’s relative was killed on the spot and 15 others included 3 women and children were critical injured but the groom was safe in the accident. The deceased and all injured were rushed to Mehar hospital for treatment where six of injured were in critical condition. The deceased was identified as, 26 six year old, Shafquat Ali, son Ali Hayder Jatoi and the injured were identified as; Waheed son of Muhammad Jatoi, Javeed, son of Mashooque, Muhammad Buchal, son of Ali Khan, Ali Muhammad, son of Masroor Hussain, Hadi Bux son of Muhamma Bux Jatoi and three women were also injured included Mst Haseena, Raheema and Sharrefa Jatoi and 7 others were injured.
