Rajwana finds girls of southern Punjab in good hands

BAHAWALPUR: Punjab Governor Rafiq Rajwana on Monday said the government is paying special attention for the provision of quality education to the girls of southern Punjab.

He was addressing the first convocation of Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur. He said the government has also established veterinary university in Bahawalpur and Information Technology University in Rahim Yar Khan so that students could get higher education at their doorsteps.

Congratulating the passed out student, the governor urged them to share and use their expertise and knowledge for the nation building. He asked the faculty to come forward and impart quality education to girls so that they can meet the challenges of modern age. Rajwana paid rich tribute to former Nawab of Bahawalpur Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi for promoting education by setting up educational institutions across the former Bahawalpur state a century ago.
