Peshawar Zalmi brings smiles to faces of Pakistanis, especially in KP, FATA

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Zalmi Team owner Javeed Afridi has said that his team brought smiles on faces of Pakistanis especially on face of people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA by winning Pakistan Super League (PSL).

He said on Monday while talking in ‘Meet the Press Programme’ organized by Peshawar Press Club.

Javeed Afridi said that this was not only victory of Peshawar Zalmi but, “We were successful to bring foreigner players and international cricket once again in Pakistan”.

He further said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federal Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) people were affected for the last many decades in the war against terror. “We had promise that we will bring smiles on their faces and we were successful”, he added.

He maintained that it was not only keep their word and fulfill their aim to bring International cricket back to Pakistan but, “We want to promote other games including hockey and bring all international players in Pakistan”, he added.

He added that before the PSL in our hunt program many good players were selected from KP and Fata, adding that in the future KP and Fata players will provide opportunity to play in another season of PSL.

He appreciated the entire team of Peshawar Zalmi team and said that it was a team work that we won the final match.

On the occasion Peshawar Zalmi team coach Muhammad Akram said that all the entire five team of PSL were played tremendous game and provide entertainment to the audience.

He added and appreciates all the entire foreign players for participating in the PSL, adding that the next PSL will be in Pakistan and all the foreign players will be participated.

On the occasion Peshawar Press Club President Alamgir Khan appreciate the Zalmi team and offer shield to the wining team.
