DHAKA: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena Wajid on Monday said that Bangladeshis who ‘still love Pakistan’ should severely be punished.

“Those citizens who, despite being in a sovereign and independent Bangladesh, still love Pakistan should be severely dealt with. We need to take measures to stop the citizens from having a softer corner for Pakistan,” Haseen Wajid said while speaking at a ceremony in Bangladesh.

The Bangladeshi PM added that citizens of the country should befittingly respond to pro-Pakistan individuals, while she also said that if such measures are not ensured, ‘Bangladesh’s identity would soon vanish’.

She also claimed that Pakistan would be happy to see Bangladesh under-performing.
