ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Friday arrested 11 outlaws including seven drug pushers and recovered 62 wine bottles, 18 litre alcohol, 350 gramme heroin, 15 gramme methamphetamine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Following directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Najeebur Rahman Bugvi, SP Amir Khan Naizi constituted a special team headed by SHO Karachi Inspector Athar Khan, Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar, Fayyaz, Assistant Sub Inspectors Imran, Dost Muhammad, Zulfiqar Ali and Sanaullah and others .
The police arrested six drug peddlers, identified as Naeem Ahmed, Fayyaz, Javed Masih, Waqas Aibal, Kashif Masih and Amir Ghafoor and recovered all these intoxicant from them.
ASI Naiz Muhammad from Golra police station arrested accused Usman and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol from him. ASI Waheed from the Anti Car Lifting Cell recovered a stolen car from the possession of accused Shahzad Khan.
ASI Muhammad Salim from Ramna police station arrested accused Hassan Butt and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol from him.
Sub-Inspector Tariq Rauf from Crime Investigation Agency police arrested accused Shamshad and recovered 15 gramne meth from him. ASI Nadeem Mughal from Bani Gala police station arrested accused Kashif Hussain involved in illegal filling of cylinders.
ASI Muhammad Khalid from Lohi Bher police station arrested accused Asim Ramzan who was selling diesel illegally. ASI Fazal Khaliq from Secretariat police arrested a proclaimed offender Muhammad Aslam.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigations are underway. SSP Islamabad has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for effective policing measures in their respective areas.
