LARKANA: The mystery of a woman’s dead body that was found from Bakapur police station has been unfolded by larkana police on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Kareeman Bhatti wife of Ghulam Yasin Bhatti who was kidnapped in retribution and was beaten during detention.

Ghulam Bhatti, in a statement said that he was working as mason at the poultry farm of Ghulam Mustafa Shahwani in Khairpur. He added that Shahwani declared him as Karo with his wife Najma which was baseless and he digested his Rs 66000 of labour charges. Shahwani allegedly kidnapped his wife Kareeman, minor daughter Shahar Bano and his young son 17-years Aslam Bhatti in revenge and subjected his wife to sexual assaults during captivity. He alleged that the accused Ghulam Mustafa Shahwani accompanied by other accused namely Imdad Khamisani, Tariq, Hafeez, Fayyaz, Muhammad Ali Khamisani and others killed his wife by firing and threw her body near Larkana.

He further informed about his woes saying that he also approached a court of Sukkur which directed police to register the kidnapping FIR against the accused but police has shown its usual negligence and have done nothing and then he filed contempt of court which is still pending.

He said that he is also facing serious threats to his life by the accused but there is nobody to help him. He demanded of the IGP Sindh to help recover his kids and registration of murder FIR against all the accused and to arrest them so exemplary punishment could be awarded to them.

Bakapur police station SHO Urs Noonari said that deceased Kareeman was killed and her body was thrown in Larkana which has been taken away by her husband for burial. He said that nobody has yet reached the police station to register the case of kidnapping and murder.
