Lahore: The High court has halted the appointment of Director General Civil Aviation Authority till further notice.
Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan presided over the case filed by Zahoor Akbar Malhi.
The petitioner said that according to Law only a specialized pilot or an experienced civil aviation officer can be appointed for the post but in the advertisement notice for appointment of DG aviation the age limit is mentioned 62 years.
By fixing this age limit the rights of senior officers of civil aviation are violated, added petitioner’s lawyer Nabeel Kahloon.
The petitioner stated that the court should invalidate this notice and issue an order that only experienced and field specialist senior officers can be appointed for this post.
