Pakistan Day celebrated with traditional zeal and fervour in Karachi

KARACHI: The 77th Pakistan Day was celebrated in Karachi  with traditional zeal and fervor. Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair along with Sindh Cabinet members visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, to pay homage to the great leader. They laid floral wreaths on the mazar, offered fateha, and prayed for the prosperity, development and integrity of the country. The governor also registered his impression in the visitor’s book and paid glowing tribute to the founder of Pakistan. On this occasion, Zubair urged entire nation to work for prosperous and peaceful Pakistan by fulfilling the dream of Quaid-e-Azam. Members of armed forces also visited the mausoleum to pay tribute to the leader of nation. As part of celebrate political parties also held various programs across Sindh. Pakistan Day is a national holiday in Pakistan to commemorate the Lahore Resolution passed on the 23 March  1940 and the adoption of the first constitution of Pakistan during the transition of the Dominion of Pakistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 23 March  1956, making Pakistan the world’s first Islamic Republic.
