Maryam Nawaz to contest for two NA seats in next general elections

ISLAMABAD: A decision has been made that Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, will contest from NA-48 Islamabad and a constituency in Lahore in the next general election.

According to media, reports about fielding Maryam Nawaz as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate on National Assembly seat in the upcoming general election were circulating in political circles.

The PML-N leadership, while confirming these reports, has said that Maryam Nawaz will contest the next general election as PML-N candidate from Islamabad NA-48 and a seat in Lahore. However, there is no substance in the reports about immediate contesting of election by Maryam Nawaz on National Assembly seat from Lahore.
