Careem captain gunned down in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Sajawal Ameer, a Careem captain was shot dead on Monday in Rawalpindi by unidentified assailants.

According to the Naseerabad Police, Ameer was shot upon resistance by unidentified assailants who tried to snatch his vehicle.

The armed assailants tried to take away Ameer’s car but failed since the vehicle had a tracker installed in it which shut down the engine, police said.

It was further revealed that Sajawal was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

A case has been registered against unidentified persons, the number of whom is not yet confirmed since no statements of eye witnesses have been recorded.

Last month, a Careem captain from Islamabad, Junaid Mustafa was gunned down.
