COAS, Iranian FM discuss Pak-Iran relations

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Iran Foreign Minister Javad Zarif at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed Pakistan-Iran relations, matters of mutual interest and regional security, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

On occasion, Javad Zarif lauded bilateral security engagements between the two countries and efforts made by both the neighbouring nations to enhance border security.

Gen. Bajwa said that regional stability was dependent upon increased cooperation within West Asia and that all regional nations need to enhance cooperation to ensure elimination of criminal threats.
