KOHAT: Family of Asma Rani has claimed on Monday that they are being pressured to accept a deal concerning the murder case.

In a press conference, Asma’s brother and father claimed that the accused is being supported by powerful people, including Kohat PTI District President Aftab Alam, relative of main accused Mujahidullah Afridi.

He also requested the Supreme Court to transfer the case to Peshawar Banu or Dera Ismail khan as they are ‘facing threats from the supporters of accused’.

Asma Rani, a medical student from Kohat, was shot dead on January 27 by the accused Mujahidullah Afridi for allegedly refusing a marriage proposal.
