SHIKARPUR: A villager identified as Sanwal Jatt, resident of village Karo-Kallar of Tehsil Khanpur, was kidnapped from Dhongblock area Napar-kot Town. He was in the limits of Napar-kot Police Station and taken away at gunpoint, around 35 kilometer away from Shikarpur, on Friday.
According to a journalist from Khanpur, a phone call was received by the kidnapped villager to provide camel’s milk to a buyer. When he went to deliver the milk to the unidentified caller, he was kidnapped.
Later, a phone call was received by relatives of the kidnapped villager demanding ransom money.
The police of the area and the relatives of the kidnapped villager tried to recover the hostage – but in vain.
The villager often provided camel’s milk to customers on demand.
The police are still clueless as to the whereabouts of the hostage as of the writing of this story.
