It is pertinent to mention that the issue surfaced on Thursday when the owners of 8 shops adjacent to Hydri PS protested against land mafia who started building houses on the roof of their shops illegally which resulted in the caving of their roofs and the walls started to and crack by the contraction as the roof were not able to sustain the burden of new constructions. The DIG District West took notice of the matter and ordered the concerned SSP, DSP and SHO to resolve the matter and demolish the illegal construction on urgent bases, according to the details.
A local Shop Keeper told Daily Times that four policemen including three brothers namely ASI Kashif, and Shadman who is Gunman of SSP zone south are involved in the land grabbing are still active and not only have they built two flats over the other 4 shops but are living in third flat built over old shops and now they have stared to occupy the other 8 Shops, the police officials know all the facts but no action has have been taken against these policemen.
