ISLAMABAD: The residents of Sector D-12 have protested against the non-provision of water connection despite the completion of most of the development work in this sector.

According to the sources the CDA has not given water connection to the residents of Sector D-12 despite the completion of the construction work. The CDA is playing a hide and seek game with us, they said disappointingly. The construction of around 600 houses has been completed so far. The Director Sector Development, Humayun Akhtar, has got the internal network completed and now the department of water supply has to provide the water connection .

Water is being supplied from Shah Allah Ditta water reservoir to the sectors including F-10,11 and G-10,11. The same reservoir can provide water to Sector D-12. Meanwhile two more water reservoirs have been discovered during surveys. Now the water supply department has to take practical steps for utilisation of these reservoirs for supply of water to the citizens.
