PED gives go ahead for appointment of 80,000 teachers

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Education Department (PED) has given approval to appoint 80,000 new teachers for various educational institutions of the government.

The new teachers would be hired in Arts, Science, Computers and recruitment process would commence from the month of April, 2017.

It has been made compulsory that the new teachers should have at least MA, MSC and B.edu education qualification.

The female candidates would be given relaxation in age while special quota has been allocated for minorities and disabled persons.

Orders have been issued to complete the recruitment of 43000 teachers before 31st March.

The new appointments of teachers would be made in 36 districts of Punjab, while the education officers have also been directed in this regard.

The new teachers would be taking over the responsibilities when the new academic session of schools begin.
