Sibi’s poor run continues, Panjgur defeats Lasbela

QUETTA: Sibi’s poor run of games continued as they were defeated by Kharan in a one-sided match, with a 7 goal lead on the fourth day of the final round of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017.

In the second match, Panjgur defeated Lasbela by one goal in a closely contested match.

Kharan dominated the game right from the beginning and kept scoring goals one after another. The final score was 1-8 with Kharan’s Hakmat bagging a hat-trick and was declared as the man of the match.

In the other match, Panjgur put in an impressive performance to beat Lasbela, while the latter gave a good fight. The match resulted in 1-0. The only goal of the match by Panjgur was scored in the 13th minute of the first half by Meer Gul, who also won the man of the match for his outstanding performance. Both the matches were held at Yazdan Khan High School Ground, Quetta.

A total of 19 matches will be played in the final round including the semi-finals on March 31 and final on April 2. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) is hosting the second edition of the football tournament in line with its commitment to the people of Balochistan.
